Funding for Warradale Men’s Shed Relocation
Judy Hannan MP, our local State Member of Parliament, has obtained a grant to the sum of $256,372 which will go towards the cost of building a brand new shed on a council-owned block of land in Silverdale. This is because the land we’re currently on is owned by Warragamba Worker’s & Sporting Club LTD and they have put it up for sale, so we are forced to relocate.
We wish to thank Judy Hannan and her team for their hard work in fighting for the Warradale Men’s Shed relocation by acquiring this grant.

“The Warradale Men’s Shed in Warragamba needs a new home on council-owned land for certainty to create a permanent location for their organisation. Recognised as part of the Men’s Shed initiative, the Warradale Men’s Shed plays a role in fostering community resilience. While the organisation has saved about $40,000 for its new shed, by today’s standard that is not enough. While Warragamba is remote, it is a growing area with an ageing demographic and is close to the new airport. We need more services like the Warradale Men’s Shed, not less. I am very pleased to be able to help deliver the bulk of the funding for the new Men’s Shed for $256,372”
